I had never tasted this traditional snack from Semarang, Central Java. I always thought that Wingko Babat is a type of meat dish due to the word “babat”, which is meat. Turns out that the word “Babat” here indicates a small town in Lamongan, East Java.
The taste is pretty interesting. It’s a good companion for a cup of black coffee made by Pak Udi.
The brand Wingko Baba Dyriana offers many flavours of Wingko Babat: original (young coconut), durian, jackfruit and chocolate. I want to order the durian flavour for my boyfriend.
